The academy is governed by a small group of experienced local educators, employers and parents committed to a technical and vocational style of learning. The Governing Body meet on a regular basis to monitor the effectiveness of the academy and to ensure that students remain at the heart of everything we do. Governors play an active role in the academy and are often on site to see first-hand the work of students and the progress that is being made with the many work-based projects being undertaken.
The Governing Body reports directly to the Robert Owen Academies Trust board which is responsible to the Secretary of State for the overall quality of provision. Members of the Trust Board regularly attend Governing Body meetings to support and challenge Governors on the strategic direction of the academy and on the progress being made by learners.
